Description

Colt Frontier Scout "Golden Spike 1869-1969", .22 cal. single action revolver. Serial #6262GS, mfg. 1969 only. Unfired in presentation case. Celebrating the 100th anniversity of the joining of the Union Pacific Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad on May 10, 1860 at Promontory Point, Utah with a golden spike. They said it couldn't be done, but despite hellish weather, Indian attacks and labor problems it happened and this nice Colt "K" Frontier Scout was created in 1969 to commemorate the event. Beautiful little gun with black "Magic" Colt finish on the barrel and frame then gold plating on the cylinder, ejector rod, cylinder pin, hammer, trigger, ejector top and Colt gold monogrammed textured walnut grips. 6" barrel with fixed sights. The slightest cylinder ring, so either has been cocked or this was done at the factory. Very unique! Nicely housed in a plastic presentation box with "1869 Golden Spike 1969" and portraits of the two railroad owners and the two train engines on the top lid. Drawing of the May 10, 1869 event in the inner lid. Revolver rests in a green crushed velvet interior along with a golden spike with the dates on it (see photo). Also included is a historical booklet created just for the Colt commemorative which tells the story of the mating of the two railroad lines spanning our vast continent. Wow! Very pretty commemorative celebrating the 100th year of statehood for the great state of Arizona. 4 3/4" barrel with blue/black finish and blue/black frame accented with gold cylinder/ejector piece/cylinder pin latch/triggerguard/grip straps/hammer. Colt gold monogrammed pearl grips have gold grip screws. Only detraction are some dots on the muzzle from long term storage. Unturned. Marked in gold on left side of barrel: "1863 Arizonia Territorial Centennial 1963". Very flashy and nice! Great display piece! Nicely housed in a maple presentation case - very good condition with some marks on top lid - with an Arizonia cactus burned on the top lid and cream colored interior inside. Nice! The "Father of the .44 magnum". 4” barrel has excellent bore. Ramp front sight with orange insert and micro-adjustable rear. Barrel and frame have near 100% blue finish with gold inlaid inscriptions, Elmer’s likeness and signature. Cylinder has slight index marks, so it has been cocked and cylinder brought in and out quite a bit. Case colored hammer and trigger are 100%. S&W smooth walnut grips are excellent. This Commemorative was a joint venture between Remington Arms and Turnbull Mfg. and they did one helluva job! Deep rich blue on the carbon steel slide and frame. The attention to detail is amazing. Roll stamped 1913 patent date. "E.E.G." inspector's mark and "Eagle head" proof marks. Hand finished edges. Correct details right down to the thirteen line checkering on the walnut diamond grips. 5” barrel. Lanyard loop. Very impressive. Includes a glass top display case with holster, magazine pouch, two hand dipped magazines and a lanyard. Nice collector piece!

Smith & Wesson Model 25, "125th Anniversary", .45 Long Colt cal. double action revolver. Serial #S&W5293, mfg. 1977. New unfired in box. Super looking N-Frame commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the .45 Long Colt cartridge that tamed the Wild West. 6” barrel has mint bore. Ramp front sight with orange insert and micro adjustable rear. “Smith & Wesson 125th Anniversary” logo on right side on barrel. Barrel and frame have 100% blue finish. Cylinder is 98% with light index marks. Hammer and trigger have 100% case colors. S&W smooth Goncalo Alves walnut grips are excellent. S&W blue soft case is excellent with slight damage on one end. S&W walnut presentation hard case has plush lining and includes “125 Years of Smith & Wesson“ book by Roy Jinks. A beautiful set!

Barrel and frame have near 100% gold-washed finish. Cylinder has 98% gold finish with light index marks. Bright polished hammer. Colt smooth walnut grips are excellent. Description

Colt Model 1911 WW1 Commemorative "Meuse Argonne", .45 acp. cal. auto military pistol. Serial #5391-MA, mmfg. in 1969 and this is one of 7,400 commemorating the anniversary. Unfired in box. 5" barrel has a mint bore, fixed military sights. 99%+ high gloss blue finish with one small mark on the right forward sight of the slide from the catch retainer of the display case. The left side of the slide has the Colt logo and an etched battle scene. The right side of the slide has a banner noting the 1917 - 1967 anniversary. Smooth wood grips have a U.S. medallion and Meuse Argonne medallion and the other grip has a picture of a soldier and a list that fought against the hun. The only detraction is a small indentation on the right grip near the bottom from being in the display case. Factory Colt magazine is in great shape. Comes with the factory display case, manual and other paper work. The case is in very good shape with a map on the back detailing the offensive. Fully functional pistol and a great display item for your war time gun room. C&R OK.
