Sharps New Model 1863, .52 cal. percussion breech loading carbine.  Serial #C,29512.  Very good condition.  22” barrel has excellent bore and excellent original finish, turning brown.  Crisp address markings.  Fixed front sight and Lawrence patent ladder rear.  Receiver, lock plate, hammer and lever are all “gold colored” from application of protective oil that has dried over the years, crisp markings.  Lawrence patent primer feed.  Stock and forearm have excellent original finish with inspector’s cartouches on left side.  Carbine saddle ring and butt plate are “gold colored” from oil.
