U.S. Springfield Trapdoor Model 1873, .45-70 cal. carbine.   Serial #343853, mfg. 1886.  Antique. Very good condition.  22” barrel has decent bore with slightly worn lands.   Barrel and receiver have very good original finish, turning patina.  Correct sight protector barrel band and Buffington rear sight.  Lock plate has crisp markings with fine surface corrosion.  Stock has very good smooth finish – no visible inspector’s marks.  Saddle ring present.  Action and lock work fine.  An extremely nice example!   Antique, can ship to your door.
