U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor, .45-70 cal. single shot military rifle.  Serial #196401, mfg. 1883.  Very good condition.  33” barrel has very good bore with string rifling, correct sights, 93% original finish.   Breech block has faded case colors with crisp markings.  Lock plate has nice eagle markings and “U.S. Springfield script”.  Crisp “SWP” cartouche.  Wood is very good with nice original finish, some light handling marks.   Action works excellent.  A very nice example.  Antique, can ship to your door.
