U.S. Springfield Trapdoor Model 1873, .45-70 cal. single shot military rifle.  Serial #355392, mfg. 1888.  Good condition.  33” barrel has very good bore with strong rifling.  Barrel has correct Buffington rear sight, lots of surface corrosion.   Frame and breech block has some fine surface corrosion, nice case coloring.  Breech block is stamped 1873.  Lock plate has crisp markings.  Stock has very good finish with some white paint marks in butt.  Nice crisp inspector’s cartouche.  Action works perfectly.  A very nice trap door.  Antique, can ship to your door.
