Marlin Ballard, .38 Long cal. single shot target rifle.  Serial #32201.  Fair condition.  30" octagon barrel has strong rifling with darkness and corrosion, fixed blade front and adjustable rear sights.  Basically a gray gun with a faded finish and moderate to heavy pitting on the barrel.  Faded case colors on the receiver with some pitting and peppering.  The action appears to operate fine.  Smooth wood forearm is very good and the smooth wood stock is good with some scattered impressions and a crack on the left side where the wood meets the receiver and extends out 4".  Curved steel butt plate.  C&R OK.
