German P-38 "byf 43", 9mm cal. auto military pistol.  Serial #1047n, mfg. 1943 by Mauser in Germany.  Excellent condition.  Standard Nazi officer issue during World War II.  Historically significant P-38 produced by Mauser during the height of the conflict with all matching serial numbers, brown bakelite grips  are very nice with just a small chip just under the slide release.  Excellent bore that shines like a mirror.  Finish appears to have been dipped and is at 95%. Vivid Nazi marks on right side of slide. “X” mark above the serial number on the left side of the slide. Safety switch is made by Walther. Locking lug is bright and matches the serial number.  Lanyard loop.  Works great!  Magazine is marked "P-38" - very good condition.  Action is tight and smooth. A great shooter and collectible.
