Description
Norwegian Model 1914, .45 cal. auto military pistol. Serial #29256, mfg. 1942 by Nazi occupation. Very good++ condition! An outstanding and rare 1911 version that was mfg. by the Nazis during World War II. Matte blue finish is 85% with thinning at the grips straps and edge wear as excepted. Downswept unique slide release quickly distinguishes it from the conventional 1911 design. Dated "1942" on the right side of the slide (not Nazi Waffenamt which is correct for a 1942 gun) and marked "11.25mm AUTO PISTOLM/1914" and serial numbered "29256" (matches receiver and other parts. Colt marked .45 auto barrel is serialed "25297" and has an excellent bore. Good tight action. Slide release, grip safety, grip safety, trigger, frame, slide, barrel are all matching. Lanyard loop on butt. Lanyard loop in blue magazine. Original "diamond" type checkered wood grips are very good. Superb piece with LOTS of Nazi history. Seldom encountered and highly desirable! C&R OK. Gunrunner West item.
