Colt Model 1911 World War I Chateau Thierry Commemorative, .45 cal. automatic pistol.  Serial #6776-CT, mfg. 1967.  Unfired condition.  5” barrel has mint bore.  Slide and frame have 100% high polish blue with WW1 battle scene on left side and WW1 Commemorative script on right side.  Checkered diamond walnut grips have Army medallion on right side and US Eagle and Chateau Thierry medallions on left side.  Wooden display case is in excellent condition with a couple light rub marks and contains a comprehensive history of Chateau Thierry engagement.  One of a matched set of four – the finest set we’ve seen!   C&R OK.
