Winchester Model 23 "Golden Quail", 20 ga. side by side shotgun. Serial #GQ20-43E, mfg. 1984 in Japan. Very good to excellent condition. Limited edition of 500 produced in 1984 only. 25 1/2" solid ribbed barrels are choked IC/M. Bright bores. Bluing is excellent and 98%++. Coin finished receiver with dog/bird scene on left side and flushing quail on the right. Scroll engraved receiver bottom with "One of 500" and "Golden Quail" with gold quail head. Gold single selective trigger - some thinning. Straight grip satin finished stock has very nice feathering and burl - some light hunting marks. 14 1/4" LOP over skinny Winchester factory pad. Beavertail checkered forearm has a couple of hunting marks. Front bead assembly without bead. Nice tight action. Some black corrosion spots on the receiver - see photos. "Golden Quail" engraved on top rib and bottom of receiver. Some light scroll engraving on barrels over breech. Nice tight lock-up. Very light and dainty for flicking around in the covey rises!
