U.S. Remington Model 1917, .30-06 cal. bolt action military rifle.  Serial #314030.  Very good condition.  Standard U.S. infantry issue during WWI. 26" barrel has strong rifling with moderately pitted bore, adjustable rear sight and large-eared front sight.  Barrel is dated "5-18".  Barrel and receiver have 95% arsenal re-finish.  "Flaming Bomb" on top of barrel and left side of receiver.  “W” marked bolt.  Stock is in good condition with faint cartouche mark just below the receiver on the left side.  One deep vertical mark on the left side of the stock and a 6" hairline crack on the top of the hand guard.  Scattered light dings in the stock.  Straight Shooter leather sling.  Bolt action works fine.  Many of these saw use in both WWI and WWII.  Much US military history here! And you can take it to the Camp Perry matches and earn a medal! C&R OK.
