Colt Single Action Army, .38-40 cal. revolver. Serial #176719, mfg. 1898. First Generation. Antique. Very good condition. Very handsome antique SAA with an old blue job, 5 1/2" barrel, matching serials and smooth walnut grips. Bore has some light pitting, but strong rifling - will throw a slug just fine. Fixed sights. Front sight has been filed to a point. Gun has been reblued some time ago and is 90% with a cylinder drag mark, edge and muzzle wear - has worn in nicely. Colt letter indicates hard rubber grips came out of the factory, but now they're walnut. This SAA was originally shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. of Chicago on March 3, 1898. Includes Colt letter. Black powder frame. A dandy! Will make a super shooter in a great caliber! Antique. Gunrunner West item.
