U.S. Johnson Rifle M1941 Sporter, 7mm Mauser cal. semi-auto rifle. Serial #4837. Good condition.  The most collectible WWII military rifle of all time and this specimen is in the highly desirable sporter version. 23” barrel has an excellent shiny bore. The receiver has several spots of heavy pitting that has been cleaned and polished leaving those areas without any blue.  The blue on the barrel has faded to 40%. The walnut stock has been sporterized and has some movement from behind the internal magazine. A few light dings and scratches.  Ventilated handguard. Rubber recoil pad has been added.   A pretty rare variant in 7mm Mauser cal. that were produced directly after the war. Johnson military wood is available and it could be converted back to military configuration. Nice collector! Highly accurate! C&R OK.
