Winchester Model 42, .410 ga. slide action shotgun.   Serial #22789, mfg. 1936.   Excellent condition.  28” solid rib barrel has shiny bore, twin beads.  3” chamber, choked FULL.  Barrel, receiver and trigger guard have 97% original blue with light edge wear and crisp address markings, perfect screws.  Long corn-cob forend has excellent finish.  Butt stock has nice figure with excellent finish and Winchester pistol grip cap.  Non-original carving added to pistol grip.  Pristine butt plate.  Slide action works perfectly.  An exceptional solid rib 42 - tough one to find!  C&R OK.
