U.S. Harpers Ferry Model 1855, .58 cal. percussion rifle.  NSN, mfg. 1860.  Very good condition.  33” barrel has good bore. Long-range three-leaf rear sight.  Bright finished barrel has some surface corrosion.  Lock plate has crisp “U.S. Harpers Ferry” and “1860” markings.   Intact Maynard tape primer has crisp “Eagle” marking.  Barrel bands, trigger guard, butt plate and patch box are very good.  Stock has excellent original finish with few marks.  There is an old repair behind the breech tang and a couple small "chunk" repairs at bottom of lower tang - shown in pictures. Percussion lock works fine.  Extremely nice, correct example!  Antique, can ship to your door.
