The shorter "Scout" version of the great M1A with forward top Pic rail that allows for the forward "Scout" type long relief scope mounting. Added quad rail that allowed for the mounting of laser or lights as well. Black finish is 99% and wonderful. Shot very little, if any. Black checkered tactical stock. Adjustable rear sights. Trijicon tritium red front sight insert is a nice touch for low light work. Hinged steel flip-up buttplate for prone shooting. Includes two 20-rd. magazines. Hard Case. Manual. Receiver and lever have little remaining finish with some dinged screws. Stock and forearm have very good original varnish with lots of handling marks. Lever action works fine. This Commemorative was a joint venture between Remington Arms and Turnbull Mfg. and they did one helluva job! Deep rich blue on the carbon steel slide and frame. The attention to detail is amazing. Roll stamped 1913 patent date. "E.E.G." inspector's mark and "Eagle head" proof marks. Hand finished edges. Correct details right down to the thirteen line checkering on the walnut diamond grips. 5” barrel. Lanyard loop. Very impressive. Includes a glass top display case with holster, magazine pouch, two hand dipped magazines and a lanyard. Nice collector piece!

Nice Civil War carbine with all three matching serials (see photos). 20” barrel has very good bore with string rifling, very good original finish, turning to patina. Fixed front sight and ladder rear. Receiver and finger lever are mostly brown with some corrosion around breech area. Percussion nipple is heavily corroded. Lock plate and hammer have very good finish and crisp markings. Butt stock has very good original varnish with a large crack behind breech on left side and some dry cracks in finish. Action operates fine. A rare early Civil War breech loader – only 1200 ever made! Antique, can ship to your door.

Overall condition is very good. Blue finish is 80% with holster wear at the muzzle. Two rub makes on either side of the barrel and some edge wear and light handling scratches. The bore is excellent and shiny. Colt gold monogrammed checkered grips are excellent with only a few light dings. Action is smooth and tight as you would expect. This is the first one I have ever seen. Exceedingly rare and a must for any Colt collection.

Grips have Army medallion on right side and US Eagle and Meuse Argonne medallions on left side. Wooden display case contains history of Meuse Argonne engagement. Sliding top cover needs repair.
