U.S. Springfield Model 1884 "Cadet", .45-70 cal. single shot rifle.   Serial #25435, mfg. 1874.  Fair condition.  39 ½” barrel has worn rifling, good overall finish turning brown.  Breech block is early high-arch type with "US Eagle" stamped on top.  Extractor is missing. Lock is stamped "US 1884” – so probably Bannerman assembly.  Sling swivels added.  Two-piece trigger guard.  Stock has decent finish with numerous hits and dings.  Action works OK.  Antique, can ship to your door.
