Sharps Borchardt Model 1878, .45-70 cal. single shot military rifle.  Serial #18782. Antique.  32 1/8” barrel has very good pitted bore with strong rifling.  Barrel has no remaining finish, with lots of fine surface corrosion, correct sights, faint “Old Reliable” marking.  Frame has no remaining finish with surface corrosion, crisp address markings.   Stock and forearm have been sanded smooth with some handling dings, large cracks and wood repairs in wrist area.  Correct stock hardware.  Butt plate is missing.  Action is tight and works fine. Great rifle to restore or a basis of black powder competition rifle!  Antique, can ship to your door.
