U.S. Winchester Model 12 Trench Gun, 12 ga. pump action military shotgun. Serial #1010629, mfg. 1946. Good condition. Grand old warrior that surely was on patrol - either during the Korean War or Vietnam or was farmed out to LE or prisons (maybe all of the above!). Forearm grooves are very worn and the finish is gone, so probably was in a jungle climate like Vietnam as it is military marked. Some fading blue, but mostly a gray gun with patina setting in on the head shield. 20" barrel has a bright bore. Tight action. All of the correct WWI marks: "G.H.D. box with "Crossed Cannon" stamps on left side of buttstock and "U.S." with "Flaming Bomb" on right side of the receiver and "Flaming Bomb" on barrel top next to the two proofmarks. Heat shield. Bayonet lug. Missing front bead. Lots of war marks on the wood. Hard Winchester marked butt. CYL. choked. Original leather sling is in good condition.
