Colt Model 1911 WWI Belleau Wood Commemorative, .45 cal. automatic pistol.  Serial #2128-BW, mfg. 1967.  Unfired condition.  The very collectible individual specimen from the four-gun set offered by Colt in the 1960's commemorating the major battles of World War I. 5” barrel has mint bore.  Slide and frame have 100% high polish blue with WWI battle scene on left side and WWI Commemorative script on right side.  Smooth walnut grips have Army medallion on right side and US Eagle and Belleau Wood medallions on left side.  Grips have couple tiny handling dings.  Wooden display case contains history of Belleau Wood engagement.  Sliding top cover needs repair.  One of a set of four.  Get them all and you'll have helluva World War One display! These will NEVER come again!
