U.S. Springfield Model1873, .45-70 cal. single shot military rifle.  Serial #145279.  Good condition.  Trapdoor with 32” barrel - worn bore with decent rifling.  Barrel and receiver have 40% original finish, turning patina with crisp markings.  Barrel bands and trigger guard have been rubbed bright.  Lock and hammer have been rubbed bright, crisp eagle marking on lock plate.  Lock does not seat properly in stock and hammer will not stay at full cock.  Lock works properly when removed from gun, so some attention needed to regain function.  Stock has very good finish with a few handling marks.  A nice restoration project.  Antique – can ship to your door.
