Winchester Model 1876, .45-60 cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #26699, mfg. 1882.  Antique. Third Model. Fair condition.  20 ¾” round barrel has been shortened and magazine cut back.  Bore has decent, worn rifling with crisp address markings.  Blade front sight and carbine-style ladder rear.  Barrel and receiver have little remaining finish with old surface corrosion and some dinged screws.  Stock and forearm have 30% remaining finish.  Stock does not fit well around the upper tang – may be a replacement.  Rifle butt plate does not fit correctly.  Action works fine.  This is a great restoration project - you could make a dandy!
