Johann Haberda, Frauenberg, 16 ga. numbered pair sidelock side by side shotguns.  Serial # 359TS4 & #49TS2, mfg. Germany.  PAIR. Very good condition.  Gun #1 has 29 ½” Krupp steel barrels with shiny smooth bores, 70% finish with some fine surface rust.  Barrels are marked with the “Krupp-Essen” steel symbol and the address “Johann Haberda Frauenberg Bohmen” and “Furst Schwarzenberg Scher Hotbuchsenmacher” .  Barrels are stamped “1” on top rib.  2 9/16” chambers.   Barrels side inscription indicates gun built on Sauer patents.  Barrel sling swivel mounting is a replacement.  Receiver has cocking indicators with double triggers and ejectors.  Receiver and side locks have no remaining finish and have beautifully executed fine scroll coverage with some fine surface rust.  Trigger guard and pivoting lever forend lock have extensive fine scroll coverage with some fine surface rust.  Trigger guard is slightly dented.  Lock up by double under-bolts and hidden cross bolt.  Stock and forearm have good original dark walnut with nice figure, numerous minor hits and dings.  Extensive checkering on straight grip and forearm is slightly worn.  Cheek piece has old leather pad attached.  Beautiful old horn checkered butt plate has some holes.  LOP is 14”.   Brass plate on top to stock has crown and “W” symbol.  Gun locks up tightly, although top lever spring needs replacing.  Ejectors work perfectly.  Gun # 2 is identical in all respects, except barrels are stamped “2” and front sling swivel appears to be original.  Krupp steel barrels have shiny smooth bores with same markings as #1.  Receiver and locks have no remaining finish and identical fine scroll engraving coverage.  Stock and forearm have similar figure and extensive checkering.  Leather pad attached as on #1.  Horn butt plate with holes as on #1.  Lock up is tight, but top lever spring needs replacing also.  EJECTORS ARE NOT WORKING on #2.  An absolutely beautiful and elegant old numbered pair of doubles!  C&R OK.
