Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe, .40-82 cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #29785, shipped June 3, 1889.  Antique. Good condition.  Really great '86 Deluxe with MANY special order features that are backed up by Cody Museum research sheet. 28” special order half-round/half-octagon barrel has slightly worn bore with decent rifling and light pitting.  Receiver and barrel no remaining blue or case-color with some fine surface corrosion.  Address and caliber markings are clear.  Long, thin blade front sight, rear sight is a later replacement and two rear dovetails are present.  Correct Lyman tang sight at rear.  Special order half-magazine with correct early-style magazine cap.  Receiver and lever were originally case-colored with traces remaining, crisp edges with fine surface corrosion.  Hammer has traces of case color.  Special order stock and forearm of fancy walnut have very good finish with beautiful figure, extensive checkering, contoured cheek piece and checkered steel shotgun butt plate.  Special order Winchester swivel eyes in butt stock and forend cap.  All special order options are confirmed by Cody data sheet (included).
